Do you know?
That feeling you get when the day begins to shut down. The accustomed blue that shifts into the brilliant hues that we familiarize with a sunset. It seems to me that even the simplest of days can transcend into an unperceived greatness. The vibrancy from the simplest of sky, if I dare forfeit a moment to look, never ceases to captivate. Whether this attention is held for a mere moment or for minutes at a time, I lend effort to grasp it by photograph before it slips away.
In certain cases, cameras can add effects to dulled photos, whereas in other moments, they may be hazed in comparison to what is seen by the naked eye. For this reason, I find it important to catalog something I see with my eyes with a lense as well. I spend only moments taking photos, but time and time again while I reminisce on past photography, scenarios are retold. Flicking through, the sun sets once again and the colors blend. Like an old painting, these memories fade and crack with time. But along with this concern come other benefits. Whether through rain, shine, grass, or plain, I hold onto each experience dearly. Even a dull image has the capacity to revive one's ebbing memory.
